Every photograph in this collection was taken from the same spot, week after week, for a year. The sky was never the same shade twice.
What started as one photographer's personal ritual is now a coffee table book and a limited-edition framed print, praised by bestselling authors, professional athletes, and a NASA astronaut for capturing something simple: however things look right now, the sun always comes back up.

Tim Keane has spent most of his career on the fast, high-stakes side of finance and technology. He's held leadership roles at early-stage startups, currently leads client success for a global financial technology company, and advises founders through a regional entrepreneur community. None of that is really the point of this book.
What matters more: years ago, after a loss that reshaped how he saw everything, Tim started showing up to the same stretch of shoreline before sunrise, sometimes with a cold brew, sometimes with a paddleboard. What began as a way to survive the mornings turned into a genuine curiosity: how elite performers, in sports and business and history, actually handle pressure. He took coursework at MIT Sloan on the neuroscience of human performance to understand it properly, and every so often he still finds himself pulling those threads together.
He and his wife also built a nationally recognized program at Yale New Haven Health, helping families and physicians navigate stillbirth and newborn loss, the same experience that started all of this. A large portion of proceeds from Sunrises in Motion supports that fund.
Tim lives in Connecticut with his wife and children.
